DiMAGE S304 |

Operation

AF speed is slower that film cameras. Why? |

This article is intended for oral disclosure only.

The camera processes image data to add more contrast and crisp taste. The center-weighted-average-like metering is applied for light metering to minimize the influence of the light condition, such as weather.

(Only multi-segment or spot metering is user-selectable, though.)

For internal use only

Equipped with the same CCD and ASIC as DiMAGE 5, the center-weighted-average metering is logically possible. Although it is not published, the image data is processed in the center-weighted average metering effectively for some of the digital-subject-programs.
